Vocational Assessment
Identify and Explore Job Opportunities
Vocational Assessment is a one-day activity that helps participants identify and explore job interests and employment goals.
Participants receive information about how to qualify for jobs in their areas of interest and how many jobs are available in your areas of interest. You will be tested on your reading and math skills. A professional will also discuss obstacles stopping you from successfully getting a job and how we may help.
Participants work closely with the vocational assessment professional to review job information, career paths, test scores, and receive assistance in choosing two goals to work towards while in the GAIN program. The vocational assessor will then help develop a plan that will describe the GAIN activities to help participants achieve their goals.
