“Success is built on the courage to keep going.” – Unknown
Raquel is a powerful example of what determination and commitment can accomplish. A former high school dropout, she enrolled in the High School Equivalency Program in December 2025 with one clear goal: to finish what she started and earn her diploma.

From the beginning, Raquel demonstrated exceptional discipline. She committed to studying more than four hours each day, approaching her coursework with focus, consistency, and a strong belief in her ability to succeed. Her dedication quickly translated into academic readiness.
Enrolling during the winter season presented unexpected challenges. Testing center closures due to school breaks created delays that could have slowed her progress. Raquel refused to allow timing to become a barrier. Confident in her preparation and eager to move forward, she took initiative by volunteering to travel from Palmdale to Chatsworth to complete her exams.
That commitment paid off. In January 2026, Raquel attempted her first High School Equivalency exams and successfully passed two of the five required tests, earning exceptionally strong scores in both Social Studies and Science. Her performance reflects not only academic ability, but perseverance, resilience, and confidence in herself.
While Raquel’s journey is still unfolding, her progress already demonstrates what is possible when determination is matched with support and consistent effort. She is well on her way to achieving her goal, and we are proud to support her as she continues toward graduation.
