Lorena is a 29-year-old graduate of the North Hollywood High School Equivalency (HSE) Program whose journey reflects perseverance, commitment, and the power of supportive instruction. Lorena officially enrolled in the North Hollywood HSE Program on April 14, 2025, under the guidance of Ms. Irene Stone, her HSE Liaison.
Throughout her time in the program, Lorena remained focused on achieving her educational goals. While her path included a one-time extension, she continued to demonstrate determination and consistency.
Lorena successfully completed all required coursework and passed all assessments, officially graduating from the program on January 29, 2026, marking her final month of participation.

Ms. Stone fostered a structured, encouraging, and student-centered learning environment. She consistently motivated Lorena through positive reinforcement and constructive feedback, helping her build confidence and maintain momentum. Ms. Stone also played a key role in strategically scheduling Lorena for all required tests, ensuring she had adequate preparation time and could complete and pass each assessment before her program end date.
Lorena expressed great excitement and pride in accomplishing this monumental goal. Completing the High School Equivalency Program represents a significant academic and personal milestone, opening new opportunities and reinforcing her belief in her own abilities.
This success story highlights not only Lorena’s dedication and perseverance, but also the effectiveness of Ms. Stone’s facilitation and the overall success of the North Hollywood High School Equivalency Program.
