Lisa entered Focus 360 seeking more than just a job. As a recently licensed Vocational Nurse, she needed a sustainable career that could truly support herself and her family. Despite completing her LVN program, she had been unable to secure employment and was growing discouraged after repeated attempts.

Before her first day, Lisa shared her hesitation during an outreach call. While unsure if the program would help, she agreed to attend and give it a fair chance. She arrived on time and quietly observed during Orientation. By the end of the session, her outlook had shifted. She shared that she felt encouraged and committed to returning.
Early in the week, Lisa discovered that small but critical mistakes in her job applications were limiting her success. With guidance, she corrected those errors and completed a polished master application. Shortly after, her resume was reviewed. Through focused instruction, Lisa learned why her three-page resume was working against her and how employers often make decisions within seconds. With support, she restructured her resume into a concise, one-page document that clearly and efficiently highlights her qualifications.
Armed with updated tools and renewed confidence, Lisa began applying immediately. She followed up with an employer who had previously overlooked her application. This time, she submitted her revised resume and reached out directly. The response was immediate. Lisa was called in for an interview and hired the same day, making $36 per hour.
Lisa successfully secured a full-time position as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, achieving her goal of stable, meaningful employment. Her experience reflects how preparation, clarity, and confidence can turn hesitation into opportunity.
