Lennis joined the Glendale Focus 360 program on March 17, 2025, bringing with her a radiant spirit, a love for matcha, and an enviable sense of style. As a devoted mother and punctual participant, she stood out for her positive energy and supportiveness despite facing a significant transportation barrier. Without a car, getting to interviews or job sites was a constant challenge for her.
Still, Lennis remained focused and hopeful. When she asked for help with her resume and job search, it quickly became clear she had a passion for aesthetics. Knowing that she followed several medical spas on Instagram, her facilitator encouraged her to reach out to the employers directly through DM to express interest in potential openings. This strategy combined her confidence in social media with her desire to work in a field she loved.
Within a day, Skinn Suite Med Spa replied and invited her to interview. Although the first meeting didn’t immediately result in an offer, Lennis stayed motivated. She followed up with a professional thank-you email, and just days later, she was invited to return for training. Shortly after, she officially landed the role of Front Desk Receptionist at $17/hour.
What made this opportunity even more rewarding? The med spa is just a five-minute walk from her home, removing the transportation barrier entirely. Lennis’ story reminds us that when you blend passion with persistence and follow through with professionalism, doors will open.
